Do you want something colourful and beautiful for spring and summer? This shawl pattern I designed was published in the Simply Crochet magazine last summer. Now I’m allowed to spread it myself too. The shawl is made up of 21 colourful squares. All the squares are the same. You could of course also make them in different colours or have every second one just a single colour.

I had so much fun creating this design and can’t wait to wear the shawl now that spring is starting here in Finland!

The yarn used for the shawl in the photos is Lion Brand Coboo, 50% cotton 50% bamboo. Bamboo makes it lovely to the touch. However, you can make it in any yarn of your choice.

The pattern has been written separately using US and UK crochet terms. The pattern that was in the Simply Crochet is in UK terms, checked by magazine tech editors. I made a second version by transferring the terms into US ones.

There are close-up photos in the pattern about each stage of the work to help you picture what each round looks like.
