Yarn info
You need altogether 620 metres / 680 yards of DK weight yarn. The sample is in Gjestal Janne, 85% wool, 15% polyamid. It is 100 m per 50 g, or 109 yards per 1,76 ounce ball. But you can use any DK weight yarn, it can also be cotton or acrylic or a mix of fibers.
Amounts of yarn for the tree skirt:
Centre: 110 metres / 120 yards
6 pieces in red lace crochet: 300 metres / 330 yards (altogether for the 6 pieces)
Each colourful piece (I’m giving the amounts per piece in case you want each one to be different colour):
Colour A (red) and Colour B (green): 20 metres / 22 yards
Colour C (white) and Colour D (yellow): 15 metres / 16,5 yards
OR
6 colourful pieces (if you make each of the 6 the same as the sample tree skirt):
Colour A (red) and Colour B (green): 120 metres / 132 yards
Colour C (white) and Colour D (yellow): 90 metres / 99 yards
